How to
Build it in three steps.
- Add a Filterable Gallery and a Gallery Filter block to a page.
- Upload your work and give each piece a Gallery Category: a series, a subject, a medium or a year.
- Choose justified rows or masonry, so nothing gets cropped, and put title, medium and year in the caption.

FAQ
Will my paintings be cropped?
Not in justified rows or masonry: every image keeps its proportions. Grid and carousel crop to one shape, if you want that look.
Can I sort work by series or medium?
Yes. Gallery Categories work like tags for images. The filter shows only the categories in the gallery, with counts, and a link can open one directly – like ?subject=landscapes here.
Do visitors get my full-resolution files?
The gallery loads sizes close to what is shown, the lightbox a larger one. Upload the size you are happy to share; WordPress makes the smaller ones.
